Toronto G20 a year later: when Canada became a police state

By Craig McKee

In true Orwellian fashion, masked rioters were allowed free reign to go on a destructive rampage while peaceful protesters were beaten, rounded up and denied any semblance of their civil rights.
The scene was Toronto, Canada’s largest city, and the event was the G20 Summit held June 26-27, 2010. The event – for which security cost in the vicinity of $1 billion – led to the largest mass arrest in Canadian history. It was an exercise in crushing dissent, and it left the impression that those in power are only willing to support free speech until people most need to exercise it.
While police were allowing the masked Black Bloc rioters to destroy anything they wanted, they weren’t shy about beating and arresting peaceful protestors. In fact, they arrested many who weren’t even protesting, but who were just trying to walk down the street. One journalist, despite identifying himself, was punched Continue reading

9/11 truthers need to challenge ALL elements of the official story

Commentators didn’t seem to see the approach of this supposed airliner.

By Craig McKee

When it came to big lies, Adolph Hitler was the expert. But when he said that it’s easier to get people to believe a big lie than a small one, he was telling the truth.
This is the strategy that was employed on September 11, 2001.
To get to the truth, I believe that we need to know everything about how this massive illusion was perpetrated that day. It was a big lie – bigger than most of us are willing to imagine. It was so enormous and so complex that most 9/11 truthers feel the need to boil it down to a manageable size to make the case that it was indeed an inside job. We feel we need to keep the scope of the deception small or risk alienating those who might believe us.
But there’s a problem with this. After a decade, the strategy has fallen short because it puts too many eggs in one Continue reading

Will Toronto 9/11 Hearings ignore Pentagon to avoid ‘controversy’?

By Craig McKee

While most eyes will be on New York City on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in September, the real news could be made north of the border.
To coincide with the anniversary, the International Centre for 9/11 Studies is organizing The International Hearings on the Events of September 11, 2001 in Toronto, Canada. These hearings, to be held at Ryerson University Sept. 8-11, will address the evidence from 9/11 and will produce a final report that could become a very valuable document in getting the truth out to the world.
Some of the most prominent names in the 9/11 Truth movement will be participating. Notable are author David Ray Griffin (who has written more books on the subject that anyone), Richard Gage of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, and physicist Steven Jones. Other familiar Truth movement names include Peter Dale Scott, David Chandler, Jonathan Cole, Kevin Ryan, and Niels Harrit. Check out their bios on the Hearings site here.
But there could be a problem. And that problem could arise because not everyone agrees on what constitutes the weakest link in the official government story of 9/11 – and what constitutes strong evidence. Continue reading

Gage ignores challenge by truthers to justify Pentagon reversal

By Craig McKee

Richard Gage had a lot to say in February about what did and didn’t happen at the Pentagon on 9/11. But in recent weeks he’s been sticking to more familiar territory – the twin towers.
The founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth has declined to respond to a letter signed by 27 members of the 9/11 Truth movement criticizing his stance on the Pentagon and Citizen Investigation Team (which contends that no commercial airliner hit the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001). In his statement he withdrew his support of CIT and its film National Security Alert.
The film features a number of interviews with people who were working near the Pentagon that day – including two Pentagon cops. The interviewees recounted that a large commercial plane approached the Pentagon to the north of the Citgo gas station, which is located across the street. If accurate, their accounts would mean that the downed light pole evidence must have been planted.
There continues to be a relentless and seemingly co-ordinated attack by some 9/11 Truthers (or people who purport to be Truthers) against CIT and its supporters. CIT’s position is ridiculed, and its research methods are Continue reading

On the 9/11 DEW Hypothesis: an open letter to Gage and Cole

Conventional explosives don’t explain what burned these and hundreds of other cars.

This piece, written by Maxwell C. Bridges, addresses the issue of what destructive force could have been employed to bring down the World Trade Center towers. The predominant belief within the 9/11 Truth movement appears to be that conventional explosives, including some form of thermite, were used. But here, Mr. Bridges looks at some of the key aspects of the destruction that can’t be explained (molten metal, melted cars, etc.) without the involvement of some other force. Mr. Bridges is a frequent contributor to this blog under the name Señor El Once. He writes this piece as an open letter to Truth activists Jonathan Cole and Richard Gage.

By Maxwell C. Bridges

The recent article AE911Truth FAQ #6: What’s Your Assessment of the Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) Hypothesis? by misters Cole & Gage concluded with:

“We do not support the DEW hypothesis because it is not supported by the available evidence. In contrast, the explosives/incendiaries hypothesis for the WTC destruction is well supported by the evidence.”

Really? Does the evidence actually support well the explosives/incendiaries hypothesis, and in particular nano-thermite, which was found in the dust at the WTC?
In dispute here is not the discovery of nano-thermite in the dust or its deployment as one of the mechanisms of the WTC destruction. As a secondary or redundant mechanism, it does not have to address all of the features of destruction. The issue is that nano-thermite has been extracted Continue reading

Obama on 60 Minutes: cheerleading interview a journalistic low

By Craig McKee

It might be the worst television news interview ever conducted. And that includes anything on Fox News.
After the alleged raid that supposedly resulted in the execution of Osama bin Laden, U.S. President Barack Obama agreed to an interview with Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes. He couldn’t have made a better choice. No tough questions, no demand for proof of anything the president was saying. Just pure PR. A state-controlled TV station in a fascist dictatorship couldn’t have conducted a more gushing and supportive interview.
These examples were typical of Kroft’s lobs:

  • Mr. President, was this the most satisfying week of your Presidency?
  • Was the decision to launch this attack the most difficult decision that you’ve made as Commander-In-Chief? Continue reading

New book mocks the psychology of 9/11 truthers while avoiding facts

By Craig McKee

Ever wonder why those curiosities known as “conspiracy theorists” believe the wacky things they do? Lucky for all of us, a conservative journalist from my native Canada has found all the answers.
Jonathan Kay, managing editor of Canada’s National Post, has released Among the Truthers: A Journey Through America’s Conspiracist Underground (Actually, the Canadian edition has an even more obnoxious title: Among the Truthers: A Journey into the Growing Conspiracist Underground of 9/11 Truthers, Birthers, Armageddonites, Vaccine Hysterics, Hollywood Know-Nothings and Internet Addicts.)
Apparently, people who don’t believe what Mr. Kay believes are relegated to a kind of curious but colourful collective “underground.” Kay seems to feel if you question the honesty of your government on any issue, you should be lumped together, psychologically analysed, and then dismissed without even a brief look at Continue reading

Media uncritically swallows claim that bin Laden planned 9/11 sequel

By Craig McKee

When it comes to the 9/11 “terrorist attacks,” the mainstream media had very little credibility before May 2, 2011. Now they have none.
Over and over the media just repeat what U.S. officials say about 9/11, Osama bin Laden, and the “war on terror” without hesitation, and most of the time without any scepticism at all. Often, allegations made by the U.S. government are reported as if they are established facts. They might as well just print the damn press releases verbatim.
The bin Laden story becomes more and more unbelievable with every new development, and the media are eating it up without the slightest question.
Here’s how the legend goes now: After the most intensive manhunt in human history, evil mastermind Osama bin Laden is finally found and “taken out” in a heroic, Rambo-esque raid that could have been planned by Continue reading

9/11 Blogger condemned for banning opponents, blocking truth

By Craig McKee

The largest web site in the world devoted to discussing truth behind the so-called terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 has been condemned for its unwarranted and destructive banning of contributors.
The site, 911Blogger.com – which has banned a long list of 9/11 Truthers from contributing to its site – was condemned in the form of a resolution passed by the 911 Truth Teleconference, a group of prominent 9/11 activists that holds a virtual meeting each month to discuss issues related to the Truth movement.
In particular, 911 Blogger has banned many activists who are sympathetic to the position of Citizen Investigation Team, which contends that no commercial airliner hit the Pentagon on Sept. 11. Blogger also permits persistent and vicious attacks against CIT and their supporters while denying those being attacked the opportunity to defend themselves.
It enthusiastically encourages support for the official government story of 9/11 as it pertains to the “attack” against the Pentagon. The idea that the evidence doesn’t support the notion that a 757 hit the building is ridiculed by many of the favoured contributors of 911 Blogger. Continue reading

Obama and media use bin Laden’s ‘death’ to further 9/11 lie

May 2, 2011

By Craig McKee

Buried at sea? I can’t believe people are buying this.
Around the world, misled individuals are celebrating the death of the man blamed for the 9/11 false-flag operation. Many are even thinking it will make a difference to the war on terror. It won’t, of course, because that phantom war will continue until it isn’t needed anymore by the global elite. And that won’t happen until another phony enemy is in place.
My optimistic side hopes that this lie is so obvious that even those who bought the idea that 9/11 was a terrorist attack might see through it. But that isn’t guaranteed, especially with all the major media in America marching in lockstep.
We’ve seen how the U.S. government turned 9/11 into two wars and an all-out assault on the Continue reading
